Ok, Here is somemore for the networkers in the group.
When you approach someone that is with another company, what is your first question to them??
Usually its an inquiry about the company taht they are representing. Right?
That is a close question to what you should ask. Number one you should ask them their name and do the introductions....
For Example..... I walk up to a Home and Garden Party Booth,
in the booth is a woman who obviously does this full time. my first instinct to do is when she speaks when i enter with hello, how are you today? Can i help you with something today?
you have two choices yes or no. most would answer no, i am just looking to see what you offer. some my answer you with a yes. this yes opens a whole door of conversation.
everyone with a home based business should have what we call a thirty second commercial. The commercial should be just what you want to hear on the radio or tv about your company and you.
lets get back to opening the conversation door.......... Once open, you can then ask her/him what the company is about. Or better yet, they WHY. This Why is the reason they chose that company or why they work from home. This give you an opportunity to talk about your company... for illistration purposes again i will use my own company..... AHA.
So, Sue, Have you ever heard of my company, AHA? No?, Thats a shame. you are missing out on a great opportunity to earn some really great homewares for free or discounted. What do you mean free or discounted? Thats just it... Hosting a Homeshow is easy and you earn so much for Free and get up to six 50% off items. Who wouldn't want to shop for free?! I knwo that i would if given the chance. Would yo like to see a catalog of our product line?
that was a hosting commercial......
now lets try a mentoring commerical....
Hi how are you today..... have you ever heard of AHA? NO? Mind if i tell you a bit about it...... OK, AHA is a great work at home business, the opportunity to stay at home with the family and work part time and make full time pay! Not to mention the start fro free promotion that allows you to start up with minimal cost to you~ you pay your shipping and tax on the studio and its yours and you are on your way to a great career with a great company that loves to spoil us in any way they can. whos paying for your next vacation??? AHA is paying for mine..... i am going on a seven night cruise to Alaska as a year end bonus~ How cool is that......
The mentoring commercial can get a bit long. but as always offer the catalog to be seen by your potential hostess or reqruit.
There are so many other ways to get some hosts and potential consutants as well...... you do what you find works for you... Personally i look at every customer as a potential host or homestyle specialist...(AHA) Don't ever shut some one out because you dont think they will be interested. Believe me, I learned that the hard way. From the get go!!!
I can't stress this enough. ASK ASK ASK ASK ASK!!!!! EVERYONE YOU MEET. HAND OUT BUSINESS CARDS TO EVERYONE YOU CAN.
a tip on follow ups...... fourty eight hours max....... keep it simple. they don;t want to be on the phone all evening.....
i will post a follow up script later this weekend sometime. look for it under this thread.
What about giving out catalogs? isn't that a waste if they don't do anything but throw them away???
when you give out a catalog to someone and of course add in the business card, get their business card. They don't have one you say? well thats simple. printing the business cards are so simple that you can create on just for your potential clients.
heres how, its easy too! take a couple sheets of the business card paper and put them in the printer. on the template on your screen lay it out like such....
name
address
phone number
email address
best time to contact
Its taht simple and such an easy step to getting a business card from your potential that they don't even realize that you just had them fill out one of the common courtesy cards that we all have to fill out with the guests and customers.......
Now i have a challenge for you~~~
Go and network with one person this weekend...... just one. post how it goes right here in this thread....... keep in mind that you will have to rework some of it for your personal company.
NOW GO! network network network!!!
