Ok, so you want to see those sales go up at those home parties! Let me ask you this......
DO YOU COACH YOUR HOST(ESS)??
If not, you should be! It is the key to getting the guests and the sales to happen!!!
Here is a scenerio for you to read... I want you to really look at what is wrong with this.......
Sue, I am so glad that you are having a show, are you excited? You are thats great! I am too! I can't wait to get to your house just to meet you in person, you sound so nice on the phone. So has anyone RSVPed yet? They haven't. Well, I am sure that you will have a good turnout anyways, even if they don't give you a call to let you know that they will be there. Well, I have to get going, I just wanted to give you a call to see how things were going on your end.... Ok you have a great day! Bye now.
Ok, now what the heck was wrong with that you may ask...... I will tell you just whats wrong....
There was some interest shown in the party, but not enough to say that the consultant felt bad that no one was going to be there or has RSVPed..... Its your job to get the hostess to make those calls insted.... reward her..... and make sure that you have her tell them to bring something so you will know that s-he called those guests... for instance, something for a game...... the reward can be that you will pay the hostess shipping for them.... or a votive, or a tealight....
Did they ask for outside orders??? NOPE, now thats not good..... you want the host to get as many outside orders as you can get them to get. PERIOD! Its the key to a great show! For instance, (using AHA as my guide) I would have told the hostess to gather up a certain amount in outside orders to ensure that they would get that credit for themselves no problem!
Oh and where in the heck was that smile at? It just didn't sound like you were very enthused that no one has bothered to call her.... you shouldn't be entusiastic about such thing, but you should be ready to offer that hand into getting those customers there..... again SMILE! You can hear it over the phone! Trust me... I invite anyone who doesn't believe me to give me a call..... being the happy person that I am, you will definately hear that smile when i answer that phone! You never know who could be on that other end! Could be the owner of your company, who knows!
Now, Here is what one of my Coaching Calls sounds like......
Sue, How are you today? I am so glad that you are having such a great day! How is Joe? Good, I am Thrilled that he got that promotion! You know I really can't wait to come over and get that show going this weekend!!! We ARE going to have such a FUN time! Has anyone called and told you if they are coming yet? Two, Oh How bout you give them a call, they may have for gotten! That might be a good idea, and if they aren't going to come over saturday, make sure that you ask them if they will place an order...... If you can get $150 in outside orders, I will bring a very special gift for you that night!! Oh and when you give them a call, be sure to have them bring Toilet Paper with them if they are coming, We are going to be playing a game that requires that they bring it from home.... Just what ever they think that they will need to bring is fine. One more thing, I am going to give you a call back on Friday to get the directions down to your home... I will talk to you then! have a great day! Bye!

Now, on the friday before this show, I would give another call just as i had told her that I would do.... This one would go something like this....
HI sue! How are you this fine evening? That is so great to hear! I am so excited about your show, Its tomorrow, are you ready for it yet? You are! WOW! That is GREAT! I am ready to run right on out that door to come see you and your friends! I can't wait! Did you get those calls done the other day? You did, wonderful! So, How many are we expecting? 10, That is great! Did you ask the ones that couldn't make it to place an order? WOW! 200 dollars! THATS AMAZING! I will bring that suprise gift tomorrow for you!!! Now, I have one more thing that I need you to do... I need you to give everyone a call and remind them about tomorrow between now and noon tomorrow, and have them bring their invite.... I numbered them, even the one that I sent to you... We are going to do a door prize drawing using those invitations.... OH, now Sue, I can't tell you what the prize is until tomorrow night!!! Come on, That wouldn't be fair.... Its a suprise for everyone... I will just say that its a 25.00 value. Nope you can't even drag it out of me.....!!!! Well, I think I am going to let you get back to getting ready for you party! Have a great night! See you tomorrow at 4:30! Bye!
(it would be assumed in this one that I have asked her for the directions or confirmed them to be sure that they were right. you don't want to be late to your parties, its a really bad bad impression on all those potential hosts and life long customers)
So you see, its all in the rewards..... Its not whats in it for you, its whats in it for them.......... (all the while being about you and your sales)
Be sure to reward those hosts, they work just as hard as you do sometimes to make their show a sucess!
One thing that I like to do is what is called the HIGH HOST CONTEST... this is when you put all of your hosts against each other for sales... the one that gets the highest commissionable sales wins taht prize, this one has to be a company product, and you have made so much in sales that you can order it with the last show to go in if you need to.... you could even do it as a gift certificate that they can use at their next show! You want them to feel comfortable booking from you again.... There are some companies that have consultants around every corner. This makes the stakes for keeping your customers and hosts loyal.... this must be done thru giving them 200% customer service, A really good time, and Rewards for shopping with you and hosting their show with you.....
