Dictionary for Consultants –Letter F
Foundation - The most important part of any structure is the foundation. I believe that is so true about your business too. Your foundation for success comes from your purpose, passion and plan for your business. Your determination, attitude and desire to succeed can make such a difference in your business growth as well. Without a foundation, a business has no stability. Are you ready to give your business the solid foundation you need so that you can see constant growth?
Follow up - Ok- I know many of you say that follow up is a challenge. Following up is a way to show people that you care. It should be a fun part of your business. Sharing is offering and caring is finding out how you can help them. Make a goal to follow up in 24 hours. There could be many people just waiting for you to call and say, "May I help you?" Do you have a certain day that you do follow up on people you need to follow up on? Are you spending time calling the same people over and over again who are not really interested and do not know how to tell you? This can be why you find following up a challenge. Look for new people to share with every day and have new people to follow up with as well.
Future - What do you want your business to look like in the future? Knowing what you want will determine what you do when it comes to the daily activity needed to grow your business. Would you like to have lots of choices for your future. Now is the time to do what you need to do in order to have what you want to have for your future.
Family - I am so blessed to have the love and support of my family. It was a wonderful thing for me through the years as I raised my five children and continues to be for me now. What better way is there to have income for your family than having the opportunity to spend time with them throughout the day and grow a business at the same time? I am even more determined than ever to help families see how wonderful it is to have your own business. I was reminded, once again, how great it is to have your own business on May 23, 2005. Following a devastating car accident, I was not able to work for 8 months. After my accident, seeing how my parents jumped right into action to help me keep my business going, I am more committed than ever to help each one of you remember every day that having your own business is the best thing in the world.
Fear - False Evidence Appearing Real—Again we can change our thoughts at any time. We can let apprehension and challenges beat us up or we can take control, conquer our fears, and feel in control. So often fear stems from the "what if’s" that plague our thoughts. By ignoring those "what if's" that lead to negative thoughts and practicing to push them aside when they appear, we can learn to paint a picture that will always be a more positive one, even in toughest of situations.. I recently witnessed my daughter, a psychologist, recently explaining to two 4-year-old little boys that when monsters appear in the dark, all they have to do is blow them away. All of the sudden, the boys felt confident that they were in control. They held the key to getting rid of their fear and they knew that, when the time came, they would be able to push those monster out of their path. Any fears you may be facing when it comes to growing a business are in your control too. Can you blow away any of your fears, or do you let them stop you from having success and reaching all your goals? Ok, just checking to see if you are reading my newsletters. E-mail me that you are ready to blow away any monsters you have in your business.
